Clinically Studied Ceramosides™ for Skin Hydration & Barrier Support
Our Ceramide Capsules deliver Ceramosides™, a clinically studied phytoceramide complex that works to replenish your skin's barrier from within, supporting deeper hydration, smoother texture and lasting resilience with just one capsule a day. Dry, tight, dull-looking skin is often a sign your skin's natural ceramides are running low, and no amount of moisturiser can fully make up for it.
-
30mg Ceramosides™ per capsule. A clinically studied, wheat-derived phytoceramide complex. [1][2]
-
Hydration and barrier support. Skin hydration was higher than placebo in both clinical trials, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is reduced, so skin holds onto moisture. [1][2]
-
Smoother-looking skin. Trials showed reduced wrinkle depth and roughness, with better elasticity and smoothness than placebo. [1][2]
-
Simple and clean. One capsule a day, with no cream and no new routine. Gluten-free, vegan, free of artificial fillers and third-party tested.
-
Fits your routine. Complements your Longevity Skincare rather than replacing it, and pairs well with Collagen Peptides for full barrier and structure support.
Ceramides are lipids that make up around half of your skin's outer barrier - the layer responsible for holding in moisture and keeping out everyday irritants. As ceramide levels decline with age, that barrier weakens, and skin can start to feel drier, tighter and more reactive. Most skincare routines only address this from the outside. A ceramide supplement works differently: instead of layering a topical ceramide cream on top of the skin, it supports the barrier from within, helping your skin do its own job well.
- Built on real clinical evidence, not just an ingredient trend - Ceramosides™ has been tested in randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trials [1][2]
- Works differently to topical ceramides for skin - supports the skin's barrier and hydration from the inside, so it complements (rather than duplicates) any ceramide moisturiser you already use
- Simple, low-dose format - one small capsule a day, no measuring, no routine to relearn
Ceramide Capsules are built around Ceramosides™, a patented complex of natural plant ceramides extracted from wheat, combined with digalactosyl-diglyceride (DGDG) - a natural lipid that supports the absorption of the phytoceramides once ingested [3]. The daily dose used in the clinical research behind this Ceramosides supplement is 30mg [3], and that's the standard this capsule is built around.
- Wheat-derived, but gluten-free. Only the phytoceramide fraction of the wheat is extracted during manufacturing, so the finished ingredient is gluten-free and suitable for coeliac and gluten-intolerant customers [3]
- Vegan-friendly capsule and formulation
- No artificial fillers - just the active complex in a simple, one-a-day capsule
Ceramides, Collagen & More: Supporting Your Skin from Every Angle
Each of these ingredients does a different job, which is exactly why they work well together. Ceramide Capsules support your skin's outer lipid barrier - the layer that holds in moisture and keeps out everyday irritants. Our Collagen Peptides support the deeper structural layer of the skin - elasticity, firmness and the underlying collagen network. Hyaluronic Acid adds hydration, while BioSil supports your body's own collagen-building processes.
In short:
- Ceramides for barrier and moisture retention
- Collagen Peptides for firmness and elasticity
- Hyaluronic Acid for hydration
- Silica Supplement (Bloosil) for collagen-building support (plus hair and nails)
Taking them together is a simple way to support your skin from several different angles, rather than doubling up on the same one.
Take one capsule daily with water, ideally alongside a meal. Ceramides work gradually, in line with the clinical research behind them: manufacturer data points to initial changes within around 2 weeks [3], with the peer-reviewed trials showing continued improvement in hydration, elasticity and skin smoothness through 8 weeks of consistent daily use [1][2].
Ceramide Capsules can be taken alongside other Naturecan supplements, including Collagen Peptides, hyaluronic acid capsules, vegan omega-3 and our hair, skin & nails bundle, as part of a wider skin-support routine.
Ceramide Capsules aren't built on marketing claims, as the Ceramosides™ complex in this ceramide supplement has been tested in two independent, peer-reviewed human clinical trials.
Study 1: Bizot et al. (2017)
60 women aged 30–60 with dry, wrinkled skin took either 30mg (powder) or 70mg (oil) of the wheat phytoceramide complex daily for 60 days, in a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Compared with placebo, skin hydration and trans-epidermal water loss both improved significantly from day 15, with hydration, elasticity and wrinkle depth continuing to improve all the way through day 60 [1].
Study 2: Kern et al. (2024)
A second trial recruited 72 women aged 30–60, including a postmenopausal subgroup, over 56 days. It found significant improvements in hydration, smoothness and elasticity, and reductions in trans-epidermal water loss, roughness and wrinkle depth, from as early as day 14 [2].
Every batch of this ceramide supplement is manufactured to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and independently third-party tested before it reaches you, checking for purity and consistency batch to batch. The Ceramosides™ formulation is vegan, gluten-free and free from unnecessary fillers. As with all Naturecan products, we believe in being upfront about exactly what's in the capsule and why. You shouldn't have to take a supplement brand's word for it.

Product FAQs
Product FAQs
Are there any side effects from taking Ceramides?
Ceramosides™ has a strong safety profile in the clinical trials conducted on it, with high tolerability reported by participants. As with any new supplement, if you have a known food allergy or intolerance, or you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication, check with a healthcare professional before starting.
Is Ceramides third-party tested?
Yes. Every batch of Ceramides Capsules is independently, third-party tested for quality and purity before release, in line with our standard testing process across the Naturecan range.
Are Ceramides suitable for vegans?
Yes. Both the Ceramosides™ complex and the capsule shell are vegan-friendly, so this product is suitable for anyone following a vegan or plant-based diet.
How long does it take to see results from Ceramides?
Manufacturer data suggests initial changes can appear within around 2 weeks of daily use (3). The peer-reviewed clinical trials behind this ingredient recorded continued improvements in hydration, elasticity and skin smoothness over 8 weeks of consistent daily supplementation (1)(2), so it's worth sticking with it for the full period to judge results properly.
What are the ingredients in Ceramides?
The key active ingredient is Ceramosides™, a patented complex of wheat-derived phytoceramides combined with digalactosyl-diglyceride (DGDG), a natural lipid that helps support absorption after ingestion (3). The capsule shell is vegan.
What's the difference between Ceramides and Ceramosides?
Ceramides are the lipid molecules naturally found in your skin that help maintain its barrier. Ceramosides™ is the specific, patented wheat-derived ingredient inside this capsule that has been clinically studied for its effect on skin hydration and barrier function when taken orally.
Do I need to apply ceramides to my skin, or can I take them as a supplement?
Both approaches exist, and they work differently. Topical ceramide creams sit on the skin's surface. Ceramides Capsules are taken orally and are designed to support the skin's barrier and hydration from within, which is why many people use an oral ceramide supplement alongside — rather than instead of — their usual skincare routine.
Why choose an oral ceramide supplement over a topical cream or serum?
An oral supplement supports your whole skin barrier from within rather than treating the surface layer that a cream reaches. It's also simpler to keep up with — one capsule a day, rather than remembering to apply a product at the right stage of a skincare routine.
Is Ceramosides really gluten-free if it's derived from wheat?
Yes. Manufacturing extracts only the phytoceramide fraction of the wheat, not the gluten protein, so the finished Ceramosides™ ingredient is gluten-free and suitable for coeliac and gluten-intolerant customers (3).
Can I take Ceramides and Peptides together?
Yes. Ceramides support your skin's barrier and hydration, while Collagen Peptides support its underlying structure and elasticity. They work on different aspects of skin health, so there's no overlap in what they're doing.
