31 Mar Naturecan ensures the best quality CBD – Here is how we’re doing it
Naturecan, the provider of plant derived, high quality, legal, CBD products, progresses towards UK regulatory approval….
Out of 800+ CBD companies, we have progressed along with 78 other brands to the next stage of the UK Food Standards Agency Novel Food Regulation.
As the UK’s leading CBD brand, this is no surprise. We have now progressed through to the next stage, towards licensing.
What is Novel Food and what does this mean?
Novel foods are foods which have not been widely consumed by people in the UK or European Union (EU) before May 1997. This means that the foods don’t have a ‘history of consumption’. Examples of novel foods include: new foods, for example, phytosterols and phytostanols used in cholesterol reducing spreads.
Novel Food application:
The UK Food Standards Agency have been clear on what they require from CBD companies in order to remain on the market. Novel Food Applications required companies like Naturecan to carry out Toxicology testing on our Broad Spectrum CBD. These tests are similar to those required for pharmaceutical products, so nothing is left to chance when it comes to product safety. Consumers MUST be able to trust in the products they buy.
Novel Food Applications also require ADME studies (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion) to show how the body deals with CBD after consumption. Naturecan performs stability tests on all CBD products, so you can be confident in the validity of our products’ expiry dates.
The dossier includes Naturecan Broad-Spectrum CBD Distillate and all other Naturecan CBD finished products – from tinctures and capsules, to nut butters and cookies. So whichever product you choose from the Naturecan range, you are assured of its safety and quality.
Your safety, guaranteed
At Naturecan, your safety is at the forefront of our minds. After all, you rely on us to carefully select ingredients that comply with current safety regulations. Our products are independently and rigorously tested, from raw material through to finished products. Our CBD oil from the west coast of the USA has the lowest levels of THC we have seen from any source. This is due to the state-of-the-art chromatography method used during the oil extraction process from the organic plant biomass.
There is no better way of demonstrating the quality and safety of Naturecan CBD products than by applying for Novel Food Licensing assessment.
With plans underway for some very exciting and innovative CBD products – watch this space! We look forward to supplying you with the best quality, plant derived CBD for years to come.
Thanks – from the Naturecan Team!
